Dr. I Sak Kim
Having spent most of my life in Hawaiʻi, I have earned my degrees from UH Mānoa. Over the years, I’ve taught at UH Mānoa, community colleges, and various high schools, and I now serve as a psychology instructor. My research focuses on human perception and attention using computers and VR. I’m passionate about mentoring students, calisthenics, acrobatics, and serving my two cats, and I’m excited to support Psi Chi’s commitment to academic excellence in psychology.

Hi! I’m Angelica, the President of our Psi Chi chapter for this academic year! I graduated from UH Mānoa in May 2025 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Political Science, and I am now a first-year MSW student. Last academic year, I served as our chapter’s Director of Funding. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and moved to Oʻahu in May 2020. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, spending time with friends, and going to the gym! Can’t wait to connect with you all!

Warm greetings my lovely members and prospective members! I am Karl, the Vice President. I am in my fourth year of University, graduating in Spring 2026. I served as Psi Chi’s President in Fall 2024, and I have been a member since Spring 2024. I am from Hawai’i (Mililani graduate 💪). I love to play video games, ice skate, rollerblade, and spend time with friends and family. I cannot wait to work with you all again, and I look forward to what this academic year has to offer!

Hey everyone! I’m Ryuto,the Director of Funding of Psi Chi! I will be entering my senior year, preparing to graduate in the spring of 2026. I was born in Japan and was raised in Hawaii. I am interested in the field of cognitive psychology, specifically in the realm of research experiments. After graduating, I plan to attend law school! I enjoy working out, baking, reading, and playing chess, so if anyone has anything in common, we should talk! I am really looking forward to meeting and getting to know every one of you!

Hi everyone! I am Ellie, the secretary of PSI CHI. This is my third semester in Psi Chi but the first one serving as a member on the executive board. I am a senior pursuing a Psychology B.S. degree. I am really interested in clinical psychology and hope to attend a PsyD program after graduation. I love being outside whether that be hiking, camping or just going to the beach! I also really enjoy reading, my favorite genres right now are psychological thrillers. I am looking forward to meeting all the new members we have this semester and getting know everyone better!

Hi everyone! I am Jiin, the Treasurer of Psi Chi UH Manoa chapter for this academic year. I am a senior pursuing a B.S. in Psychology, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026. I have been serving as the treasurer for our chapter since Spring 2025, and I am really excited to continue my journey with you all! I moved to Hawaii 4 years ago from South Korea. I was born and raised there for almost my entire life. I love dogs, reading books, spending time with friends, going out to the beaches, as well as traveling. If you guys are also interested in any of them, please come and talk to me! I am looking forward to making wonderful memories with you all this semester. Nice to meet you again :)
